July Topbox: KMS California

This month I opted for the KMS California Topbox, because I received the quick blow dry spray in a previous box and fell in love with it. This month’s box is also very funky! For those of you not familiar with Topbox, it is a monthly beauty box subscription, where for $12 a month you receive 4 deluxe beauty samples. Week Four Weigh In (and an easy recipe)

This past Tuesday was my first weigh in since I’ve starting working out with a personal trainer. She told me not to weigh myself at home, which wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be, but I was becoming pretty curious. I’m pleased to share I have lost four pounds and four inches (off my bust and hips) in four weeks! (more…)

Convocation 2013

Lessons from my Convocation Ceremony

Last month, many students graduated from Canada’s universities and colleges. Convocation should be a joyous time, where students celebrate their years of hard work with their families and embark on exciting careers. However,  there have been many news reports about high youth unemployment rates all over the world showering doom and gloom on this year’s graduates.

My convocation ceremony from Algonquin College’s public relations program was held on Tuesday, July 25. Radio announcer Steve Madely, who delivered the convocation address to my class of graduates and received an honorary degree from the college, told us there is no better time to graduate. (more…)
